Most marketers who start a website are much more focused on building up content than generating traffic to build a list.

Both are very important in terms of traffic and sales.

But in my view focusing on both from the start should be a part of your Daily Practice for success.

I wish I had focused on both writing comntent and building a list from the start, but I did like most people who start building a website.

I focused on writing blog posts, articles and reviews.

When I finally started to build a list I noticed how much it affected my traffic and sales.

That is why I decided to write this post to help newbies to grow faster and get better results from the start.

In this post I will share with you some tips for Affiliatemarketing beginners to start building your list.

What is your Intention or goal?

Have you ever asked yourself the question. Why should someone sign up to your list?

This is important to do when you start building a list because every list needs a goal.

You need to know your goal with your list and what you want to do and achieve.

So the first thing you need to is finding your goal or intention with the list you create.

The purpose of a list

Lists can be used for many purposes:

– To inform your audience

– Get to know your audience

– Get trust

– Give away something of value

– Get your audience to do something

– Generate leads

– Generate traffic to more than one offer

– Sell something to your Audience

Normally It is a mix of one and more purposes

When you found the answer to this question you need to ask yourself another question.

Who are Your audience?

You need to know who you are talking to in order to get people to sign up to your list.

There are so many books, programs and courses out there on how to find your perfect audience.

Personally I follow a specific roadmap where I learn how to target my audience.

The most important thing to remember is that you are the one they are attracted to.

Your experience, story, skills etc.  You will never have the exact audience as anyone else.

We live in a world of influencers and gurus on all kinds of topics and it is hard not to compare oneself with others.

I am sure you have compared yourself many times too with others. Do not worry!

Everyone does it even if we should not do it.

It is important to remember that all of them started on zero.

You cannot compare yourself to someone who have been 20 years online.

That does not mean that you cannot bring any new value to the marketplace.

On the contrary. You can bring new fresh angles and ideas.

You can stand on the shoulders of giants and piggyback more or less on what they created and even improve that.

People are constantly searching online for different topics and chances are high that someone will like the way you do things and wants to learn from you, read your stuff, go to your courses, download your freebies etc.

So my best tips is to be just the one you are 100%.

Do not try to be anyone else. You are good enough just the way you are. You need to believe that to attract your audience to you. If you believe in yourself – others will believe in you too.

What does your audience want?

Another important aspect of building a list is to learn to know your audience.

What are they looking for?

What do they want?

If you manage to find out that and deliver to them what they want your connection and trust with your audience will grow.

It is not any hocus-pocus.

You just need to use a little effort.

How do I know what my audience want?

I am asking myself that qyestion every single day.

Your audience is not a ststic mass. They are changing just like you.

They follow trends and try to keep up appearances and stay in with what is hot or not.

My website is new and I have no idea who is reading my stuff. How do I know?

It is a good question.

And it all boils down to communication.

Simply ask your audience until you get answers.

When you get an answer – then deliver on that.

I am sure you can do that. Am I right?

There are ways you can measure what your audience likes with Google analytics.

You can find out Who they are. If they are women or men and agegroup also called demographics.

You can see what they search for, what links they click on, how long they read your article etc.

But you do not get that personal connection without an email list or using some form of communication tool.

The longer you are online the more stats do you have about your audience, and the more you actually

start talking with them the more specific information you get about them.

This can help you give your audience what they want.

What will you give your subscribers?

Based on your goal and audience you need to offer your subscribers some value.

My tips is to give them something useful they want and something they need as well.

So what can you give your subscribers?

Tips ,Q&A`s, invitations to free training and events, a freebie of some kind, Stories, videos, audios, tutorials.

You can also give them some awesome offers on products you have created yourself or promote as an affiliate.

It is simply your imagination that sets the borders to what you can give.

Why should they be on your list?

Another question you should bear in mind is : what can you offer  your subscribers that others don’t?

You know there are so many marketers out there offering all types of things so why should they sign up on your list?

It is a tough question, but important to think about and work to achieve and constantly improve on a daily basis.

If you want them to sign up to your list you need to offer them something they want to have that they cannot get anywhere else, right?

It is not difficult once you know what to do and how to do it.

From my experience most marketers do not do this and that is why they do not grow and give up.

One thing that is very important when you build a list is to build a list of buyers who will buy from you over and over again. This is something all the successful marketers do, but very few will show you exactly how they do it.
